Mike's not fond of lobster, so I don't usually bring it home. Instead, I'll sometimes order my bugs out when I've got that sort of craving. Until yesterday.
Lobster right now is not scarce. It is so not scarce that the regular price is $5.99 a pound for a live lobster at the grocery store.
Yesterday, the lobsters were going for $3.99 a pound. Couldn't resist...and that was either live or steamed. So I asked the nice man (who had apparently done almost nothing but steam lobsters for the three days of the sale) to steam me a chicken lobster (~1 lb.), and I planned to have it for lunch today. (Dinner tonight is salmon...need stuff that comes out of the ocean.)
Here is the lobster the nice man cooked for me.
And then I cleaned him up and put him on a very, very healthy plate. Here is my lunch. 'Scuse me, now. Time to eat.
And Dave? Any time you and Jana want to come visit...we don't have those gorgeous fruits, but we can do pretty well for a summer picnic. :-)
