The only semester in University where I got all the classes I wanted included two that were Tues/Thurs with the same professor. On Tuesday we found out she was on Sabbatical, hence immediately initiating crisis "Crash Class" mode, a day and a half late. I was finally admitted to one class six weeks later by the prof. who said "Any one stubborn enough to keep coming to this class deserves a grade." I trust this is not the case with your "future name tag" person.
This was a situation where the student was in classes last semester, was a junior (who had never transferred) and knew when the deadlines were, and now expects us to find him 4 open courses that will fit his schedule and requirements.
